Sound familiar?

Women in perimenopause and menopause are routinely dismissed in the conventional healthcare system.

🩺

"Your labs are normal."

Standard reference ranges weren't built around perimenopausal women. Normal labs don't mean normal symptoms.

💊

"Here's an antidepressant."

Brain fog, mood shifts, and anxiety during perimenopause are hormonal — not a mental health diagnosis.

"Just wait it out."

Perimenopause can last 4–10 years. You shouldn't have to white-knuckle through a decade of your life.

🔁

"Come back in 6 months."

Symptoms change fast. You need a provider who adjusts your care as your hormones do.

Evidence-based care.
Not one-size-fits-all.

Hormone therapy has come a long way since the early studies that scared a generation of women away from treatment. Modern evidence strongly supports HRT for the right candidates — and we know who those candidates are.

We offer oral and topical hormone replacement therapy, personalized to your symptoms, your labs, and your health history. We don't use a cookie-cutter protocol — and we adjust as you do.

No pellet therapy. No fads. Just the treatments with the strongest clinical evidence and the most established safety profiles.

What your care includes

  • Comprehensive hormone evaluation (symptoms + labs)
  • Personalized HRT plan — oral and topical options
  • Follow-up visits to fine-tune your protocol
  • Direct messaging with your provider
  • Same-day or next-day appointments
  • Ongoing monitoring and dose adjustments
  • Coordination with specialists as needed
  • Evidence-based approach, no unnecessary treatments

Dr. Amber Wobbekind MD

Dr. Amber Wobbekind,
MD, MPH

Dr. Wobbekind is a board-certified internal medicine physician with advanced training in women's health and preventive medicine. She is also a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) — a credential earned through The Menopause Society's rigorous competency examination and held by fewer than 1,000 clinicians nationwide. She founded The Golden Stethoscope specifically because she wanted to practice medicine the right way — with enough time to actually know her patients.

She takes hormones seriously. She stays current on the evidence. And she believes that perimenopausal and menopausal women deserve a provider who treats their symptoms as what they are: a medical issue with real, effective solutions.

Common questions.

What hormone therapies do you offer?+
We use evidence-based oral and topical hormone replacement therapy (HRT). We do not offer pellet therapy. Our approach is grounded in peer-reviewed clinical evidence and individualized to your symptoms, labs, and health history.
Is hormone therapy safe?+
For most healthy women under 60 who are within 10 years of menopause, the benefits of HRT outweigh the risks. Modern evidence — particularly from the WHI re-analysis and KEEPS trial — has significantly clarified earlier fears. We'll review your personal health history to determine if HRT is appropriate for you.
What's the difference between perimenopause and menopause?+
Perimenopause is the transition phase — often starting in your early-to-mid 40s — when hormone levels begin to fluctuate. Menopause is the point 12 months after your last period. Symptoms can be just as significant (or more so) during perimenopause, and that's often when treatment is most valuable.
Do I need to be a member to be seen for hormones?+
Yes — hormone care is provided within our membership model. This allows us to manage your care continuously, adjust your protocol over time, and be available for questions between visits. One-off consultations don't serve hormones well; ongoing monitoring does.
Which membership tier is right for me?+
Hormone care at The Golden Stethoscope is provided through our Concierge tier ($245/mo), led by Dr. Amber Wobbekind, MD MPH. This gives you same-day or next-day access, longer visits, and the continuity needed to manage hormone therapy well over time.
What if I'm already on HRT from another provider?+
We're happy to continue and optimize an existing protocol. We'll review your current regimen, labs, and symptoms and work with you on any adjustments. Continuity of care matters, and we won't change things that are working.
